I am a contemporary landscape and wildlife artist based in East Sussex, where the coast, wetlands, and changing light of the surrounding landscape provide continual inspiration for my work. My art explores our relationship with the natural world, from close observations of wildlife to broader interpretations of landscapes and habitats.

Currently I am focussing on semi-representational landscapes using acrylic paint and mixed media on paper. Through layered marks, textures, and occasional fragments of writing, I aim to capture not only the visual qualities of a place but also the atmosphere, memory, and emotional resonance it holds.

Coastal and shoreline environments are a recurring focus in my work; I am drawn to these connecting points between land, sea, and sky, where contrasts emerge between space and solidity, movement and stillness, and hard and soft elements.

My creative process is intuitive and exploratory. Rather than working towards a fixed outcome, I allow each piece to evolve organically, finding its own balance between observation and expression.

Early memories of living in the Mediterranean, together with later travels, continue to influence my work and underpin a strong sense of place. I am interested in how landscapes hold memory, atmosphere, and feeling, and I hope my paintings invite viewers to pause, reflect, and form their own connections with the natural world.

I have previously exhibited with South East Open Studios and The Avocet Gallery at Rye Harbour, East Sussex.

Thank you for visiting my website. I hope the work you find here resonates with you and offers a moment to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the landscapes and environments that inspire us.
